Mr. Dostal’s pedagogical practice exeeds fifteen years of his work at the Brno University of Technology, Faculty of Business and Management, Institute of Informatics and Institute of Forensic Engineering, He teaches at Masaryk University in Brno, Faculty of Law, and University of Tomas Bata in Zlín. His area of interest is the use of soft computing methods and artificial intelligence, such as fuzzy logic, neural networks, evolutionary algorithms and chaos theory in entrepreneurship, public services and information management. He lectures many subjects such as Advanced Decision Making in Business, Financial Risk Management, Risk Management, Operational Research, Optimization and Decision Making, Advanced Methods of Decision Making in Law. He worked as an economic and organizational consultant in private companies and institutions. He was the chairman and board member in companies. He is a member of international institutions, the program committees, scientific and advisory committees and councils, the editor of Soft Computing Journal - Springer (ISSN 1432-7643), a member of the Advisory Board of the magazine Egyptian Computer Science Journal (ISSN 1110-2586), editor of the journal Global Journal of Technology and Optimization (ISSN 2229-8711), member of the Berkeley Initiative in Soft Computing, Society of Computational Economics, Association for Computing Machinery and a member and advisor of the International Institution of Forecasters. He has published numerous books and articles in international journals.
